EGO BLINDS by Viala Living respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect when you use this site, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It is written to meet the California Online Privacy Protection Act.

What we collect
When you send us a message through the contact form, we collect the name you give us, your email address, the telephone number if you choose to leave one, the collection you tell us you are interested in, and the message itself.
Our web server keeps ordinary technical records of visits — the address your request came from, the page asked for, the time, and the browser used. These are kept to run and protect the site.
A session cookie is created when you submit the contact form, and only to carry that form safely. Nothing else is set unless you allow it.
Cookies and analytics
We would like to know how this site is used — which pages people read, how they arrived — and for that we use Google Analytics. It sets its own cookies and sends what it records to Google.
It is off until you say so. The bar at the foot of the page asks once; nothing from Google is loaded before you answer, and nothing at all is loaded if you answer no. You can change your mind at any time through "Cookie settings" in the footer.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal we take it as a no, and do not ask.
Why we collect it
We use what you send us to answer you, to arrange a consultation or a showroom visit, and to keep a record of the projects we have discussed with you. We do not use your details for marketing unless you ask us to, and we do not sell or rent them to anyone.
Who else sees it
Our website and its database are held by our hosting provider, [TO CONFIRM — hosting company and country]. Messages you send may be forwarded to our own email, which is handled by [TO CONFIRM — email provider].
Google Analytics, if you have allowed it, receives what it records under Google's privacy policy rather than ours. Nothing else on the site is loaded from anyone else.
How long we keep it

Seeing or changing what we hold
Write to us at the email address at the foot of this page and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, or delete it, unless we are required to keep it. We may ask you to confirm who you are before we act.
Do Not Track
Some browsers can send a "Do Not Track" signal, and there is no common standard for what a site should do in reply. We honour the newer Global Privacy Control signal instead: a browser sending it is never asked about analytics, and never has any loaded. We do not track visitors across other websites in any case.
California residents
Under California Civil Code section 1798.83, California residents may ask a business once a year for a list of the personal information it has shared with third parties for those parties' own direct marketing. We do not share personal information for that purpose.
Children
This site is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, write to us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will post the new version on this page and change the effective date above. Material changes will be noted at the top of the page for thirty days.
